The manufacturing giant wanted to deploy SAP S/4HANA on AWS Cloud with the following goals:

The prominent manufacturing company selected AWS because of its established reputation and easy-to-use model, along with Noventiq for our experience and expertise in SAP on AWS.
To help the Polyfilms manufacturer achieve the desired goals, we designed and configured Managed VPN services that enabled robust and secure connectivity from multiple client locations to AWS Mumbai region. Local users connect using site-to-site VPN while other users connect with remote access VPN using Cisco Any Connect VPN client and Cisco Services Router (CSR) that starts up VPN service on AWS. User authentication on the SAP server is done using the corporate Active Directory (AD). All the SAP S/4 HANA instances are hardened for Jindal Poly’s security policy requirements. Memory-optimized SUSE Linux instances are certified by SAP. These steps ensure a highly secure environment for hosting sensitive and critical data.
Our team has setup three separate instances for the Dev, test, and production environments and Dev and test servers are stopped during off hours and weekends enabling cost savings. AWS S3 is used for auto backup of applications ensuring data redundancy.
Apart from this, the following AWS services on SAP ensure continuous monitoring and security:
- CloudWatch for monitoring
- CloudTrail for tracing user activity on AWS account
- IAM based access
- AWS Config to audit and keep track of resource configurations
